Order this service when purchasing a new ACR EPIRB. This service is not required for North America, but would add additional information to the EPIRB.
International EPIRB purchases require this service to be completed before shipment overseas.
Programming service requires that we have the vessel's MMSI number. The vessel name may also be programmed into the unit and is recommended.
International agreements dictate that EPIRB's must be programmed for the country under the flag of which a vessel sails or of which the vessel owner is a resident in order to register the beacon with that country's SAR authorities.
